Cara Lorman, M.S.
Pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Vermont Rostered Psychotherapist #097.0134819
Hello!
I support individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship concerns, stress, anxiety, life transitions, and parenting challenges. Much of my work centers around supporting new, expecting, and seasoned parents, whether you are preparing to welcome a baby, adjusting to early parenthood, or navigating the complexities of parenting older or adult children. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to feel more confident, connected, and grounded as they strengthen communication and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

I have a Masters degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon, and I work from a warm, easy going, and collaborative style. My approach is strengths based, systems oriented, and solution focused, helping clients make sustainable and meaningful change. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and resources, offering space to explore patterns with compassion, build on what is already working, and take actionable steps toward growth.

I believe people have an innate ability to move through challenges, especially when supported with curiosity, structure, and care. Together we will look at unhelpful dynamics through a nonjudgmental lens and identify practical ways to shift them, celebrating both progress and the natural ups and downs of the process.

I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Lindsay Jernigan as I work toward Vermont licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
